Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania visited Eco Garden Construct Cluj-Napocaa nursery and landscaping complex.
His Majesty and His Royal Highness visited the wood recycling workshop, where visual artists from the University of Arts and Design in Cluj use wood scraps for artistic projects, reports România Regală.
The Royal Family has a long history of involvement and support for horticulture and care of the natural environment. Over the years, members of the Royal Family have supported events to promote the natural environment and environmental action, including in Cluj-Napoca. Her Majesty Margareta is Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj.
The green spaces that decorate the Elisabeta Palace and the Royal Castle of Săvârșin have benefited from numerous collaborations with companies and institutions such as the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, the University of Life Sciences "King Michael" in Timișoara and the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca. Eco Garden Construct specialists participated in the refurbishment of the garden of the Elisabeta Palace, the place where large-scale events are organised every year, bringing together thousands of people.
It was with great joy that we received the visit of Her Majesty Margareta, Crown Custodian, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Prince Consort Radu of Romania, during the time the Royal Family spent in Cluj these days. We thanked them for their visit and told them that we look forward to seeing them in Cluj as often as possible. I believe that this visit comes as a recognition of the results that the whole team at Eco Garden Construct has achieved in the Romanian market and in the several projects in Europe. At the same time, we believe that it is also a recognition of the fact that in Cluj-Napoca, the private sector is recognized and supported so that it can have a healthy growth and confirm its status as a county and a city oriented towards a definite western approach, encouraging the European vision of development and the interest in an increasingly greener and healthier economy and society, by implementing sustainable solutions. The appreciation we have received from distinguished visitors encourages us to persevere in the direction we have started. We are trying, together with all those involved, to build a green Cluj community, which truly considers green spaces as a common good assumed by everyone, and to develop practical education programmes in this sector, including training and specialisation courses for the necessary staff, with the arguments offered by the Cluj university system. In conclusion, we can say that, it is no coincidence that this wonderful visit take place in Cluj. We thank them once again and we hope to see the Royal Family in Cluj-Napoca as soon as possible", said the founder of Eco Garden Construct, Mircea Crăciun.
