Urban conversion of a waste disposal area

Project objective

The Sibiu City Hall's objective to develop Belvedere Park on the site of an area used for construction waste disposal was to transform an abandoned and polluted land into a modern green space accessible to the community. With this project, the local authorities wanted to improve the quality of life of local residents, create an area for recreation and relaxation, and contribute to environmental protection. The park was designed to revitalize the area, providing a meeting place for the people of Sibiu and promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.

Beneficiaries

Belvedere Park was developed on a site located in the neighborhoods of Tilișca and Valea Aurie, the area being delimited by the streets Preot Bacca and Săcel. The park is a mainly green area where residents will enjoy sports, relaxation and 56,000 m2 of nature.
